| What is Promato ? |
| Promato is an Information System that is dedicated to the handling of all Promotion Material within your Company. |
Promotion Material is basically any item that you give away (e.g. sales literature, samples, POS aids, gimmicks, reprints, kits, etc). Such material can also be known as Sales Collateral.
Promato maintains an on-line catalogue of your promotion items, and has functionality from Planning and Ordering though to Storage and Distribution. This functionality recognises that your promotion material is generally handled differently from saleable goods and often even by different personnel.
Promato's objectives are to enable best use of your Company's often major investment in Promotion material, and to eliminate the hassles that often seem to accompany it's management. |
| Who is Promato for ? |
| Promato is great for Companies who internally manage their sales literature and promotion material.
|
Typically, your Company will have a Warehouse where promotion material is stored in bulk. There may be multiple Warehouses and they may even be run by a 3rd Party. You generally distribute the material to Sales Representatives, or Agents, or Branch offices, etc, who then use the material in their dealing with Customers. Distribution can also be direct to Customers. |

| The Promato Catalogue |
| At the core of Promato is an on-line Catalogue of Promotion Items. The catalogue contains; |
- descriptive data about each item
- pictures
- attachments (e.g. documents, spreadsheets, image files)
- general notes (e.g. best practices)
- stock status - quantities on-hand, on-order, and allocated
- historical usage - who was sent what and when

|
| How does Promato work ? |
| The Catalogue is the external face of Promato but internally there is a powerful inventory system. |
| This constantly keeps track of the quantity available of each Item and records all activity undertaken by the Users of Promato. Access is from the standard Web browser which is in most PCs, either from within the Office, or from remote locations. The functions a User can perform vary depending on their role (e.g. Product Manager, Sales Representative, Storeperson, Administrator.) (read more...) |
